This is probably one of the first guitars I ever built using reciclyed wood from Harlem.
Walking by 119th Street, I came by with some disposed wood beams from some construction work happening up in the Harlem neighborhood. Some were oak, some were fir. These wood beams were in containers and covered by dirt, so it was very hard to tell what kind of wood they were until I cut them.
The body of this particular guitar was built out of pine. The pickguard was hand made out of bronze, and the headstock features one of my earliest headstock designs.
